WONDER MAN Teaser (2024) With Yahya Abdul-Mateen II & Ben Kingsley
In the Wonder Man

(2025) first trailer, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II debuts as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, a superhero with extraordinary strength and a complex past. The trailer opens with a dynamic montage of Hollywood, showcasing Simon’s life as a struggling actor-turned-superhero. His voiceover echoes themes of identity and power: “I’ve been living in the shadows, trying to find my place. But in this world, you either make your own name… or become a pawn in someone else ’s game.”

The trailer then shifts to Simon ’s origins, where we see him as the heir to a tech conglomerate, Williams Innovations. His family business falls into ruin due to the success of Stark Industries, leading Simon to a path of vengeance. Brief flashbacks show his desperate financial struggles, falling into the hands of Baron Zemo (played by Daniel Brühl), who recruits him for a nefarious plan to take down the Avengers.

Through Zemo’s experimentation, Simon is imbued with ionic energy, granting him incredible strength, invulnerability, and the ability to fly. Initially, Wonder Man is manipulated by Zemo to fight the Avengers. We see Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in intense fight sequences against familiar Marvel heroes, with explosive, high-energy combat scenes highlighting his newfound powers. The trailer teases his internal struggle, as Simon realizes the depth of Zemo’s manipulation.

The tone shifts as Wonder Man begins to turn against Zemo and seek redemption. A brief glimpse of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) suggests a potential love interest and connection to the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe. As Wonder Man grapples with his powers and his identity, he begins his journey toward becoming a hero in his own right. The tension escalates with action-packed shots of Wonder Man flying through the city, fighting off Zemo’s forces, and confronting his past.

The trailer closes with Simon’s defiant line: “I’m done following orders. Now, I write my own script.”
The Wonder Man logo flashes across the screen, setting up an exciting new chapter for the MCU.
