It, retroactively known as It Chapter One, is a 2017 American supernatural horror film based on Stephen King’s 1986 novel of the same name. Produced by New Line Cinema, KatzSmith Productions, Lin Pictures, Vertigo Entertainment, and distributed by Warner Bros.[8] It is the first film in the It film series as well as being the second adaptation following Tommy Lee Wallace’s 1990 miniseries. The film tells the story of seven children in Derry, Maine, who are terrorized by the eponymous being, only to face their own personal demons in the process. The film is also known as It: Part 1 – The Losers’ Club.
The terrifying tale continues with “IT Chapter 3: Welcome to Derry,” the much-anticipated third installment of the popular horror franchise. Set to hit theaters in 2025, the film will see the return of the beloved cast from “IT Chapter 2,” including James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are once again teaming up to bring Stephen King’s chilling universe back to the big screen.
“IT Chapter 3: Welcome to Derry” delves deeper into the cursed history of Derry, Maine, uncovering the town’s dark secrets and the origins of the malevolent entity known as Pennywise. The narrative will take audiences back to different eras, revealing how Pennywise has terrorized the town’s residents for centuries. Fans can expect a blend of heart-pounding horror and emotional storytelling as the Losers’ Club confronts their deepest fears and uncovers new horrors lurking beneath the surface.
